Office & Staff

I have a wide range of employment experiences both in and outside the legal profession plus a solid educational background. I did not start law school until I was forty. I dropped out of college in my early 20s, got married, and spent the next sixteen years being a wife, mother, and community volunteer. After I got divorced I returned to school and obtained my undergraduate and law degrees. I consider the total of my varied experiences to be indispensable to being a good lawyer.

Legal Experience:
I have been licensed to practice law in Oregon since 1991. Before that, I was a staff attorney for the Oregon Worker's Compensation Board for two years and a judicial law clerk for the judges in Lincoln County, Oregon, for one year. Prior to attending law school, I worked as a clerk for the late Oklahoma state court Judge Alan J. Couch in Norman, Oklahoma. While in law school, I worked in the Washington County District Attorney's office as a certified law clerk, in the Washington County offices of the Metropolitan Public Defenders as a certified law clerk, and for Lee & Associate, a Portland law firm that served the city’s Korean-American business community. When I went into private practice in 1991, I worked for Lee & Associate, and then opened my own practice in 1993.

Non-legal experience:
Wife, mother, grandmother, carpenter, auditor, horse breeder-trainer, secretary, title officer.
